James F. Minshall, age 84, went to be with the Lord October 25, 2013 surrounded by his loving wife, Betty and family at the Kobacker House. He was born July 27, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio. He is preceded in death by parents, Clifford and Edith Minshall, wives, Wilma and Mary; son, Billy; daughters, Brenda and Samantha; brother, Edward; and sister, Geneva. He is survived by wife, Betty Minshall; sons, Tony (Rojean) Bryant, James (Virginia) Minshall, Gary (Teri) Minshall, Kenneth (Ellen) Minshall; daughters, Connie Bryant, Melanie Hall and Nancy (Elbert) Gostel; 26 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Loretta and Ramona as well as many friends and family. Jim was a respected business man at heart; owner of Ohio Bait for over 50 years. He was "at home" in the south end of Columbus where he was known as "Big Jim" to many of his friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30th from 5 to 8 p.m. at O. R. WOODYARD CO. SOUTH CHAPEL 1346 S. High St. and at the Good Shepherd Community Church 210 Obetz Rd. on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery 5373 Norton Rd., Grove City. Family will be holding a gathering at the American Legion Post 144, 3253 S. High Street, Columbus at 4 p.m.. Please bring a covered dish to share, all are welcome.
