James William Stokes Moss "Country Judo Jim",  age 87, went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 1, 2024. Self employed carpenter. U S Air Force Veteran. Member of American Legion Post 144. Hosted the MDA Telethon for 34 years. Song writer and composer of country music and sang for various clubs and fairs. Member of Hilock Fellowship Church. Former trustee for Good Shepherd Community Church for 18 years. Preceded in death by parents, Earnest and Florence Moss; 8 siblings; infant son, James Douglas. Survived by wife, Joy; 4 sons, Larry (Kathy), Scott (Cindy), Robert (Amy) and Zachary (Michelle); 11 grandchildren, Alisha (Michael) Duke, Stacy (TJ)Tripp, Ashley (Michael) Rousch, Beth Ann Moss, Whitney Moss, Courtney Moss, Jamee Moss, Jasmine Mills, Shaun Mills, Claire and Teddy; great grandchildren, Ashton, Tommy, Autumn, Arabella, Landon, Lucas, Aries, Brayden, Abel, Anthony, Alivia, Brycen, Hailey, Annie, Everly, Lyla, Macy and Gabriel; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; special granddogs, Ozzy and Levi. Visitation will be Saturday, July 6th from 11 am until time of the funeral at 1 pm at Good Shepherd Community 210 Obetz Road, Columbus 43207.
