James C. Sevenoff, passed at the age of 88, Saturday January 22, 2011. Born August 25, 1922 in Bridgeport, Conn. James was a restaurant owner and a U.S. Marine during WWII serving in the Pacific Theatre. Member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Preceded in death by his parents Chris and Maria, sister Cathy Osbourne. A loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vasiliki "Koula"; daughters, Mary (Gary) King, Christine Sevenoff; sons, Chris (Cindy) Sevenoff, and George (Lori) Sevenoff; grandchildren, Allison, Paul, Jim, Demi, Benjamin, and Noah; brother, Spyro (Phyllis) Sevis; many nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 255 E. State St., Wednesday 4-8 p.m. The Trisagion will be entoned at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Thursday 11 a.m. Reverend Economos Michael Kontos Jr. and Father Panteleimon Maillis, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Contributions in memory of James donated to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
