James "Jim" Shipley, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2025. Born April 25, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late James and Rosemary Shipley. After graduating from Licking High School he served in the U. S. Army. Jim retired from the U. S. Postal Service after 40 plus years. However, after a short stint at retirement, Jim got "bored" and went back to work at several jobs to keep busy. Jim was a very humble and quiet man who was hard worker and loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his younger sister, Jackie Hess. Jim is survived by wife, Mary Shipley, children Natalie Prewitt and Kyle (Myranda) Shipley; grandchildren, Cade Prewitt, and Kaylee and Kinsley Shipley; sister, Joanne (Jim) Reeves; many other relatives, co-workers, and friends.

Gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, February 21, 2025, 5:00 pm - 07:00 PM at Pfeifer-Woodyard Funeral Home, 7915 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
