James L. "Lenny" Stoneburner, Sr., age 78, lost his battle with lymphoma on August 28, 2024.  He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 23, 1946 to the late Leonard George Stoneburner & Mary Jane Livers Stoneburner.

Lenny is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carol (Duke) Stoneburner.  He was a great dad to their two sons, James (Amy) and Matt (Tasha).  James was the best grampy to Mathew, Kylie, Violet, Ian and Wyatt.  He loved his grandkids with his whole heart!  He also leaves behind three sisters, Rita (Ed) Duke, Paula (Don) Tipton and Anita (Jim) Fournier; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws who were very special to him.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  James retired from Radio Shack as an electronics repair manager after 35 years of service.  He was a true Ohio State fan.  No one loved the Buckeyes more than he did.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, on Thursday, September 12, 2024 in the chapel of Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home.  A service to honor Lenny's life will follow the gathering at 2:00 pm with Pastor Mike Brue officiating.

The family of James L. Stoneburner, Sr. would like to thank the Columbus, Ohio V.A. Healthcare System for being such a blessing to him over the years.
