Obituary

It is with deep love and gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of Janet Hines, age 76, of Obetz, Ohio, on October 8, 2025. Born on March 25, 1949, Janet was the beloved daughter of the late Everett Edmonds and Viola Edmonds Grimm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack A. Hines. Janet was a "one of a kind" woman. Her love of Jesus and family was always foremost. She absolutely adored her grandchildren.  Janet had the amazing ability to turn anything into a magical adventure. Her humor and storytelling was always something special. The creativity and imagination she had is legendary throughout our family. Janet loved music (BeeGees/Post Malone), dancing, movies, cartoons, toys, books, shoes, scissors, bowl haircuts and any kind of "gadget".  She was also known to be the photographer and the "keeper of family photos". Janet's passion for photography has spanned her entire life. Collages, cameras, and even more photos gave her great joy.  She lived with a strength, warmth, humor and an open heart to everyone that needed it. We find peace knowing that her love will continue to surround us.

She is survived by her loving children: Mylo M. Edmonds-Jones, John D. (Tracella) Edmonds, Christina A. (Shawn) Hines-Delp, and Jack A. (Marsha) Hines. She also leaves behind her siblings: Jenny Edmonds Hall, Everett Edmonds, and Linda Edmonds Robinson (Mike Robinson); her grandchildren — Ryan (Pauline) Jones, Jacob (Alisha) Jones, Alex Jordan, Grant Edmonds, Scott Edmonds, Brad Edmonds, Travis Edmonds, Zackary Hines, Katie Hines, and Dalton Delp; great-grandchild, Jayce Jones; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside inurnment will be held at Franklin Hills Memory Garden on Monday, October 20th, at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Obetz Community Center, 1650 Obetz Avenue, Obetz, Ohio 43207, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., to share memories and honor Janet's beautiful life.
