Janet Mae
Jennings
Mar 2, 1941 — Nov 7, 2025
Janet Mae Jennings, a longtime resident of Groveport, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday morning, November 7, 2025, at her residence with her loving family by her side. Janet was born in Columbus Ohio on March 2, 1941, to the late Betty (Jackson) Hunt and Paul Hunt.
Janet was a lovely and caring woman who enjoyed cooking for her family, spending time with sons, her beloved grandchildren, and her several grand dogs. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family, friends, and a good Merlot were all her passions. Janet loved holidays and decorated her home for every single one, much to the delight of her family and friends. Any chance to spend time with her sons and grandchildren was incredibly important to her and there were several traditions she instilled on those that were closest to her, such as her Christmas Breakfast for the entire family. Even though she has gone, she has left a legacy of love and perseverance. The memories of her life will always be present in our hearts. Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Perry Jennings, whom she married June 27, 1964. She is survived by her devoted two sons, Steven Douglas Jennings, wife Rhonda, of Beavercreek, Ohio and Johnathan Kyle Jennings, wife Deanna, of Groveport, Ohio. She had two grandchildren that were the lights of her life, Johnathan Kyle Jennings, Jr. and Kelsey Mae Jennings. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Hunt, of Bexley, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, Groveport Chapel at 587 Main Street, Groveport, Ohio, from the hours of 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
