"Jay" Jeffrey Klauminzer Sr., age 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 22, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Gustave and Mildred Klauminzer on January 5, 1952. Jay graduated from Rocky River High School and went on to graduate in 1974 from The Ohio State University. Jay was a linebacker at Ohio State and once said of OSU, "It's been in my life for 40 years." He enjoyed softball and was passionate about his family. He was also a member of the 4-S Club. Jay is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Mark and Gary. He is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Eric) Diles; son, Jay II (Suellen) Klauminzer; grandchildren, Chaz Diles and Isla and Lola Klauminzer; sisters, Joy Klauminzer Caito and Gail Zanzig; many nieces, nephews, other family, and a host of dear friends. A celebration of Jay's life will be held at 5pm on Friday, April 28 at the 4-S Club at 281 E Whittier St, Columbus, OH 43206. Please, no flowers. In lieu, drink a Natty on his behalf.
