Jerry Wayne Montgomery, age 70, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born April 14, 1954 in Harlem, KY to Dorcas Short. Jerry is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Darlena Montgomery; sisters, Judy and Jackie; stepfather, "Doc" Short; mother-in-law, Mary "Susie" King. He is survived by his children, Terry Walker, Shelly Montgomery, Jerry Montgomery II, and James (Ashley) Montgomery; grandchildren, India (Christopher) Stanley, Trey (Akira) Walker, Alexis, James II, Kyle, Gage, Andrew, Preston, Juice, Ms. Banks, and Cheyenne; great grandchildren, Rylan, Sebastian, Joziah, Baby Gage, Genesis, and Precious; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH. Brother-In-Law, Michael Phillips will officiate.
