BAKER Jo Ann Baker age 89 of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home August 30, 2020. She was born December 24, 1930 to her parents the late James and Dorothy Black in Jackson, Ohio. Jo Ann was a graduate of Columbus South High School 1949; member of Gender Road Christian Church. Retired from Emergency Services at Mt Carmel East. Active in the Red Hat Society, Enjoyed The OSU Buckeyes and The Cincinnati Reds; and the Card Club. She took great pride in her family especially her grandchildren. Survived by her loving husband, Gene Baker of the residence; children, Linda Flaherty and Terri (Norm) Peters; sister, Jeannine Nader (Dick Deceased). She has 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews, and other family and dear friends. Preceded in death by son, Keith Baker and brother, Jim Black. Jo Ann do to Covid 19 requested that there not be a gathering, family may hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
