Joanna passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18. She was born in Lancaster, Ohio on February 1, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Margaret Geraldine Conrad. She graduated from North High School in 1954. She was preceded in death by her husband Don VanGundy, sister Sandy Laney and brothers Lloyd "Slug" Conrad, Michael Conrad and Mike Franke. She retired from Battelle after a thirty plus year career. She was a member of Good Shepherd Community Church, Eastern Stars and a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge.

Joanna was a loyal OSU basketball and football fan as well as an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. She enjoyed eating out and sharing conversations. We will miss the many entertaining stories she told throughout the years.

Joanna is survived by nieces Jeanne Dulin (Mike) and Kathy Poth along with many nieces and nephews from Ohio,, Florida and California. Sibling survivors include Durbin (Butch) Conrad, Terrance (Vickie) Conrad and Geoffrey (Donna) Conrad.

Visitation hours will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 21 at Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home in Groveport, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with burial at Fernwood Cemetery.
