John W. Barbee, age 81, went to be with Jesus April 5, 2015. Born in Byer, Ohio to late William and Edna Barbee. He is preceded in death by 6 siblings. John was a longtime and devoted member of Pentecostal Church. John is survived by loving wife, Loretta Barbee; siblings, Martha Gorrell of Hamden, Janice Leonard, Norman (Donna) Barbee of Michigan; sibling-in-laws, Gail Keen, Lois (Dallas) Lockhart, Dale (Manya) Perkins, Paul Meyers; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, from 5 to 8 pm at O R Woodyard South Chapel 1346 S. High St. where funeral service will be held Friday at 1 pm. Brother Robert Richardson officiating.
