John William Doolittle, 53, a beloved brother, son, uncle, father, grandfather and friend.  John passed away peacefully at home with family in his sleep on April 6, 2025. John was known for his giving heart and passion for those going through a hard time to let them know they are not alone. John was a faithful servant to God and attended Bible study weekly. He loved serving in homeless ministry as well as being an active member of AA since 1995 in which he helped many, including himself, through a hard time by showing them how to live in the solution. John was a man a few words, but if he loved and respected you, "YOU KNEW IT". John loved cooking throughout his life anywhere he could, including at many Alkathons. He  also became a semi truck driver for many years for Fedex. John is survived by his sisters, Tami, Alison and Paula; daughter Nicole and Family; nieces Michal, Nancy, Sierra and Cloe; nephews Darrin, Patrick and Dillon; and many other family members.

John will be missed by many and now rejoined with his mother Nancy in heaven. May he forever rest in peace. His showing will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8. PM at the O.R. Woodyard Co. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St., Columbus, OH 43207 where his funeral service will be Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Obetz Cemetery.
