John E. "Jack" Hock age 80 passed away January 29, 2018. He was born April 13, 1937 to the late Richard and Evelyn Hock in Columbus, Ohio. Jack's life contained many facets, after graduating from the University School. He worked as a truck driver for a time. Jack worked at the White Cross Hospital where he had been born, earn a position as a Police Officer with State of Ohio; Columbus Developmental Center (acting chief), he served in the Army Reserves. He enjoyed many interest; foremost as a wood craftsman, milling and turning many spectacular pieces of artwork. He belonged to American Association of Woodturners, Central Ohio Woodturners, Woodworkers of Central Ohio; National Speleological Society, National Rifle Association, Capitol City FOP Lodge #9. Jack also loved being a Ham Operator, was a active Model Railroader. In most all of his endeavors he worked and played beside his loving wife, Jean and they both were a little competitive with each other, they enjoyed each other so much. Jack is survived by daughter, Wendy Blankenship; step children, Earl (Pebbles) Kennedy, Carl (Faith) Kennedy, William Kennedy, Hazel (Brian) Nance; grandchildren Christopher Kennedy, Jennifer Harden, Sean Nance, Melanie Nance, Nona Blankenship, Amanda Blankenship, Dakota Kennedy, Destiny Kennedy, William Kennedy III; great grandchildren, Aaliyah Harris, Hunter Harris, Deborah Harden, Weston Blalock.
