Obituary

John Gregory Neal, age 72, passed away on December 15, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Homer and June Neal. He is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Neal and his children, Richard J. Neal, Christine M. Neal, and Allison (Logan) McKenna. He was the eldest of 10 children. He is preceded in death by his brother Galen Mark Neal. He is survived by his siblings, Diana Neal (Aurora Sabio), Homer Roger (Nancy E.) Neal, Alan (Marianne) Neal, Angela (Michael) Compton, Brent (Wilhelmina) Neal, Brenda (Keith) Riddle, Dana Neal and Keith (Leah) Neal. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a proud graduate of Columbus Aquinas High School and The Ohio State University. He also graduated from Capital University Law School in 1977. He practiced law for over 30 years in the Columbus area. After high school, he served in the U.S. Air force for 4 years. John truly loved his wife and his 3 children and he was adored by them. John loved and looked after all of his brothers and sisters and he tried to help as many people as best he could. John loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and served as an usher at Ohio Stadium for 15 glorious years. He loved his collie dogs, including Bella the most recent one. As a true believer in the resurrection of Christ, he was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for over 20 years. Visitation to take place on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at O.R. Woodyard, Co., 2990 Bethel Rd. Columbus, Ohio, 43220, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 am with gathering of friends and family one hour prior at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 5475 Brand Road, Dublin OH, 43017, Pastor John D.
