John L. Swinger, age 47, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Grant Medical Center. Born November 24, 1963 in Springfield, IL. Dedicated employee of Phoenix Recycling Inc. John enjoyed 4-wheeling, boating, hunting, gun collecting, and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by mother, Ali Ellsworth (Stogdell). Survived by wife of 19 years, Mary Swinger; children, Miranda (Todd) Lambert, Kyle, Brooke, Madison, and Bradley Swinger; grandsons, Logan and Lucas Lambert; father, Harry Ellsworth; sisters, Bridget (Dave) Grotts, Becky (Steve) Gilbert, Bobbi (Pat) Flanigan, Theresa (Ritchie) Cruthis; brother, Jeff (Kimberly) Swinger; stepbrothers, Ethan (Karla) and Evan (Stacy) Ellsworth; stepsister, Annie (William) Henke; many nieces, nephews and friends.
