Joseph Michael Weigand passed on July the 6th, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio. The world was enlivened with his birth on October the 31st, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio; to his parents: Bill and Jackie (Samodell) Weigand. Always the explorer and scientific enthusiast, he rocketed his way from Bedford High School to Miami University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree of Music in 1985. An esteemed teacher of the arts, Mr. Weigand taught High School Choir and Elementary School Music & Band for Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools until 2011.

He was a beloved schoolteacher of thousands, a dedicated piano teacher to many, and an enthusiastic benefactor of the fine arts, the Boy Scouts, and the well-justified application of "creative engineering." Joseph is predeceased by his father, Bill Weigand, and his son, Gabriel Weigand. He is survived by his mother, Jackie (Samodell) Weigand. He is survived by his former spouse, Dawn (Frankos) Weigand, and his two children, Garrett Weigand and Melody (Donny) Rhine. Joey is survived by his sisters, Ellie (Joe) Fiore, Debbie (Tom Watrobski) Weigand, and Cindi (Paul) Beutell. A time of remebrance is forthcoming as we settle Joe's affairs.
