Josephine J. Magda, 93 peacefully transitioned from this world on December 23, 2017 in Columbus, OH. She was retired from Cummings & Lockwood LLC, Stamford, CT after 17 years of bookkeeping service. Prior to that she was employed by Electrolux and Conde Nast of Old Greenwich, CT. Jo resided at the family home, 27 Forest Avenue, Old Greenwich, CT, until her 70's. At that time she relocated to Canal Winchester, OH to be near her nieces and nephews. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Stamford, CT most of her life, and more recently at Saint John III Catholic Church, Canal Winchester, OH. Preceded in death by her brothers Frank Magda, Sr., Peter Magda, John Magda Sr., and sister Margaret (Mary) Magda. Jo is survived by nieces Debra (Don) Roberts, Virginia Beach, Frances Magda, Stamford, CT, nephews John Magda, of the residence, Mark (Robin) Magda, Riverside, CT, Matthew Magda, Ken (Dawn) Magda, Columbus, OH, Frank (Carol) Magda, Stamford, Ct. Also great nieces Jennifer and Kelli Magda, Audrey Wilson, great nephews Greg Wilson, Steven and Nicholas Magda who all were touched by her. Visitation will be Friday, December 29th at the WOODYARDS-MYERS FUNERAL HOME 587 Main Street in Groveport from 11 am until time of the prayer service at 1 pm. Interment will immediately follow.
