Joyce E. Barrows, age 82, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Truman Pointe Care Center in Hilliard, OH. Joyce was born June 11, 1943, in Kermit, WV, to the late William and Virginia Parsley. Joyce was a longtime resident of the Franklinton neighborhood, and she owned and operated her own housekeeping business and proudly served her customers in the Columbus area for many years. She enjoyed decorating her house, gardening, and collecting dolls. Joyce was passionate about taking care of her family. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, William and Virginia Parsley; husband, Harold L. Barrows; son, Harold E. Barrows; siblings, Barbara, Peggy, Charlie, Larry, and infant twin sisters, Mary and Martha. She is survived by her son, Travis Barrows; grandchildren, Joseph (Mahala) Barrows, Kimberly (Mark) Groves; Jacob Barrows; Joshua Barrows; Dylan (Hope) Barrows, Trevor (Jerzee) Barrows; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Avery, Brooklyn, Jensen, Brayden, Mason, Willow, and Jacelynn; stepchildren, David, Carol, and Kevin; siblings, Rene, Mickey, and Mag; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation will be Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
