Juanita Pearl Stevens, 97 years old, of Hilliard, Ohio, went to be with the Lord June 5, 2024. She was born in Raven, Virginia on October 20, 1926, the 11th of 13 children born to the late George W. Asbury and Maggie Lowe Asbury. She moved to Columbus, Ohio from Virginia in 1964, and bought a house on Kerr Drive in Hilliard, in 1970. She moved in 2006 to Carriage Run in Hilliard Ohio. She was a housewife and babysat other peoples children to earn extra money. When her younger children were teenagers, she worked as a dispensing option at Buckeye Optical and Factory Optical Outlet. She later worked at Riverside Hospital as a Dietary Aid.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Sherry (Raymond) Mercer of Hilliard, Ohio and Patricia (Clifford) Nunn of Dublin,Ohio. Ten Grandchildren, Melissa Stevens, Robert Stevens, Christopher Stevens, TamiJo Ward, Joshua Nunn, Jamie Rock, Kenny Rock, Michelle Kapan, Patricia Sanders, and Vicki Jones, 25 great grandchildren and numerous great great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glen C. Stevens, whom she married on May 23, 1942. She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Roger L. Stevens of Hilliard, Ohio and Michael J. Stevens of Hilliard, Ohio, two grandchildren, Roger Stevens Jr., and Michael Moss of Valleyview, Ohio, and one great grandchild Amber Stevens.

She was the last survivor of her 13 children in her family. She was preceded in death by sisters Margie Asbury of Va. , Mary Alley of Va., Margaret Lowe of Ohio, Thelma Cline of Va., Cassie Ray of Va. , Eula Asbury of Va., and brothers John Asbury of Va., William Asbury of Va.,Wesley Asbury MI., Edward Asbury,MI., and twins Alan and Alfred Asbury Va.

Family and Friends may call at O. R. Woodyard Northwest Chapel on 2990 Bethel Road Columbus, Ohio 43220, Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 12 noon until time of funeral service at 1pm. Pastor, Tim Womack will officiate funeral services and burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Hilliard.
