Junior "J.J." Stamper, age 90, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017, at Mt. Carmel Hospital. Born in New Boston, Ohio to the late George Washington "G.W." and Cloa Elizabeth Stamper. He is preceded in death by former wife AnnaBelle McGlone-Stamper, infant son Billy Ray and 10 brothers and sisters. Survived by brother, Bobby Allen Stamper; children, Nora Charlene and Zane Chafin; Bobby George and Janet Stamper; Bonnie Sue Rucker and Jeff and Trina Stamper, all whom are of Columbus, Ohio. Nine grandchildren and a host of several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Junior was a hard working cement contractor and home builder. His most famous and remembered words were, "I am somebody." He was a walking book of knowledge and will be greatly missed by one and all. Family will receive friends at the Hilock Fellowship Church, 3210 U Ave, Columbus, OH 43207 on Thursday, February 23 from 5 to 8 PM and again on Friday from 12 noon until time of service at 1 PM.
