Karen Sue Higman, age 68, passed away on February 11, 2026. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 16, 1958 to the late Ted and Betty Short.  She was married to Jeffrey Higman in 1996, who proceeded her in death.  Survived by siblings, Kath and Gerald Messer, Ted Short Jr; nephews, Shawn (Amanda) Boyd and Jamie (Sara) Dunn; niece, Morgan Nolan and many loving cousins, survive her.  Karen lived the last 20 years in Georgia.  She was a caregiver and she loved animals.. Her sharp tongue and unusual humor will be missed.  Per Karen's wishes no visitation will be observed.  A graveside service will take place at New Holland Union Cemetery, new Holland, Ohio on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 12 noon.
