It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Karen Sue Hittle on June 1, 2025, at the age of 69. She was born on December 26, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio, to Karl and Irene Beem. She attended and graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School. Shortly after graduating, Karen married the love of her life, Gary Wayne Hittle in 1975.

Karen worked as a cook for Reynoldsburg City Schools until her retirement. She was affectionately known as "Mimi" and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, fishing, cooking out, and gardening. She loved to spend time on her front porch, watching birds, and her grandchildren play. She enjoyed watching OSU Football and any Cleveland sports.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Irene Beem, as well as her husband Gary Wayne Hittle, and daughter Katie Lynn Rozensky and son-in-law Neil Rozensky.

Karen is survived by her spouse, Ronald Vantu; her sisters, Shirley Ishmael and Connie (Fred) Bowers; brother, Karl (Elaine) Beem; son, Gary (Ashleigh) Hittle; daughter, Karla Hittle (Jeremy); step-daughters, Andrea (Titus) Arensberg and Sarah (Byrd) Haile; step-son, Ryan Martin; grandchildren, Kayla (Adrianna), Madisyn, Brooklynn, Layah, Liberty, Samuel, Xavier, Kolebyn, Heith, Kingston, Honor, Aviyannah, Aries, Piper, Makena, Rayleigh, and Emberleigh; great grandchildren, Quinn, Zayvien, and Zamere; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved pets.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Licking Memorial Hospital and OSU Wexner Medical Center for the compassionate care they provided during Karen's final moments. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.

A graveside funeral service will be held on June 5, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Friends and family are invited to gather after the service at Pataskala Church of the Nazarene to share their memories.
