Kathleen Marie Brooker, 84, of Pataskala, passed away Friday, November 7th, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Newark, Ohio on July 26th, 1941 to the late Ivan Eugene and Esther (Schlingerman) Tanner.

Kathy graduated from Newark Catholic High School in 1959. Following graduation she worked at State Farm. On October 7th, 1961 Kathy married her beloved husband of 64 years, David Robert Brooker.

She was a great wife and an awesome stay at home mom to Daniel Joseph (Diana), Stefanie Marie, Eric Gerard (Kristin), Robert Matthew (Melissa) . She was also an amazing grandmother to 9 grandchildren, Chase (Pam), Emily (Conner), Logan, Thomas (Mykela), Warren (Tyler), Ryan (Veronica), Grace, Garrett, and Savannah. Also, 7 great-grandchildren, Bentley, Olivia, Callan, Audrey, Carter, Walker, and Leela. She enjoyed playing cards and lunching with her many longtime friends and family. Kathy also loved traveling, hiking, picnics and family get-togethers. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Church of the Nazarene food pantry.

In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her sister, Marianne (Fred), brother, William (Dana), sister, Sr. Gertrude "Trudy" Rose Tanner, OP

Kathy's family requests the honor of your presence to celebrate her life at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home, 7915 E Main St, Reynoldsburg, on Wednesday, November 19 from 5 to 7pm. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Rd, Reynoldsburg, at 11am with Fr. P. J. Brandimarti, KHS presiding. Promptly after the service there is a Reception of Life Luncheon in the parish center! Please come join us. Memorial Mass will be held in the Msgr. Funk Family Parish Center, as well.
