Kathy D. Brunty Knight, 65, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on December 27, 2024 with her children, sister, and husband by her side.  Kathy was the daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Sylvia Brunty Jr of Columbus.  Preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Weltha 'Big Mom' Gilman, brothers Gary, Michael, and Kenneth 'Butch' Brunty.  Kathy's spirit and memories will live on through her husband Ken; daughter Kendra (Tyler) McDowell; son Kyle Knight; grandsons Kamden, Kooper, Kaseyn; her sister Patricia (Bobby Joe) McClelland, sister-in-laws Barb Brunty and Teresa Hunt; dear cousins Cynthia and Sylvia; close friend Dee; loving neighbor Kathy; and her many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Kathy exuded class and elegance in all aspects of her life; she had unwavering loyalty to those she cared about yet was never afraid to speak her mind.  With her quick witted sense of humor, feisty personality, and huge heart, she was a force to be reckoned with and loved by all.  Kathy's legacy will stand as that of the selfless matriarch of her family.  A proud and devoted loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, friend; but most important to her, being a mother and MawMaw.  She loved and protected her family till the very end and found peace in knowing she instilled those values in her children and grandchildren.

A private celebration of life with loved ones will be held at a later date.
