Kenneth E. Finnerty, age 77 of Columbus, passed away May 1, 2013 at Grant Hospital. He was born on July 14, 1935 to the late Kenneth P. and Betty Burns Finnerty. Ken worked as a mason for 50 years, retiring in 2008. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Preceded in death by brothers Ed, Jerry, and Bobby, sister Darlene and son-in-law Greg Miller. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia; sons, Kenneth "Danny" (Kimberly) Finnerty, and Ron Finnerty; daughters, Cheryl Eidel, Karen Miller, and Linda Finnerty; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Finnerty, David Finnerty and John Finnerty; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
