Obituary

In deep sorrow we share the passing of LaDonna Kay Rogers Wells, age 71. LaDonna departed this life peacefully on August 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Ladonna resided in Canton, Ohio. Her love, kindness, and strength touched the lives of all who knew her. Her family knew her as "Donna". LaDonna was born on December 22, 1954, at Stovall Hospital in Grayson, Kentucky. She was a loving mother, devoted daughter, loving family member, treasured friend, and a source of comfort and joy to many. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart, generous spirit, and the countless ways she made those around her feel loved and valued.

LaDonna is preceded in death and shaped by the love of her father Reverend Bill Rogers and her brother Gary Rogers. She is survived by her loving fiance, Steven Lytle; son; Michael Wells; daughter, Gina (Philip) Shimer; grandchildren, Maxton, Deacon, Rohan, and Piran Shimer, and Myra and Cassi Wells. She is also survived by her loving mother, Mary Sammons Rogers; sisters, Peachie (Mike) Yeauger, Debbie (Rick) Smith, Kathy Davis and Bernice (Randy) Kamer; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

LaDonna was a proud and dedicated scholar, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 2010, from Franklin University. Continuing her education, she went on to earn her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2015, from Ohio Christian University, a milestone that reflected her determination, perseverance, and commitment to lifelong learning, LaDonna was employed at Nationwide Insurance where she served in the role of Senior Consultant for many years."Donna" had a deep love for life and adventure. She especially enjoyed going on cruises and spending time at the beach, where she found peace, joy, and happiness in the beauty of the water and sunshine. She also loved attending concerts of all kinds. A lifelong and devoted fan of Elvis Presley, LaDonna cherished his music and movies. Her outgoing personality, warm spirit, and infectious giggles could light up any room she entered, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Above all LaDonna cherished her family and the precious memories she created with her beloved grandchildren: They were the light of her life, and she held each of them close in her heart. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. A confession of her faith gave us assurance that she made it home, nestled in the loving arms of Jesus. A memorial gathering for Ladonna will be held starting at 11:00 am and continue until a celebration of life service begins at 1:00 pm on August 15, 2026, at O.R. Woodyard Co. 1346 South High St. Columbus, Oh. 43207.Reverend Jeremy Kamer and David Reid officiating.
