Lavinia "Vinnie" A. Stanford, 79, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on April 14th 2024 surrounded by her family in her last days. Lavinia was born on January 16th 1945 in Columbus, OH, to her parents Richard and Hilltonia Owens. Lavinia was employed for several years at Rocky Tops and Sheldon Park as a manager. Lavinia was a member of Neighborhood Freewill Baptist Church. Lavinia enjoyed camping, boating and making beautiful floral arrangements. Lavinia played in euchre and pool leagues that she was very good at. Lavinia loved spending time with family and friends, she will be deeply missed. Lavinia is survived by a daughter Laurie Thompson of Walbridge, OH, sons; Rick Thompson of Mt.Vernon, OH, Wallace Thompson of Swanton, OH and Roger Thompson of Moores Hill, IN, 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Lavinia was predeceased by her parents Richard and Hilltonia, Brian Thompson (son) and Jaylin Harmon (granddaughter). The family would like to thank Hospice for giving Lavinia a peaceful end of life. Memorial donations are suggested to a Hospice Organization. Lavinia's Funeral will be on Monday April 22nd at O.R. Woodyard Funeral Home 1346 S.High St. Columbus, Ohio from 11 a.m. until her service at 1 p.m. Burial to follow after service. She will be laid to rest at Obetz Cemetery 4455 Groveport Rd. Obetz, Ohio.
