Lois Ann Preston, age 87, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, on October 12, 2025. She was born on May 9, 1938 in Lockbourne, Ohio to the late Edward S and Della (Kocher) Detty. She married the love of her life, Vernon Preston on October 21, 1956, enjoying 59 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2016. She retired from Kemba Credit Union after 17 years of service.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Della Detty; her husband, Vernon Preston; her sisters Dorothy Bridenbaugh, Marilyn Keiser, and Nancy Detillion; her brother James Detty; her daughter-in-law, Dorie Preston; and her son-in-law, Gary Jones.

Surviving are her son, Michael Preston of Lancaster; her daughters, Cheryl (Ron) Lautzenheiser of Reynoldsburg, Terry (Jim) Johnson of Chillicothe, and Kandy Jones of Baltimore; her grandchildren, Josh, Stephanie, Mike, Mandi, Melissa, Sheena, Holly, Justin, and Emily; her great-grandchildren, Madison, Cody, Kohwen, Austin, Callie, Blake, McKenzie, Ashton, Piper, Caleb, Braxton, Kamden, Ellie, Paige, Ava, Jaxon, and Olivia; her sister-in-law, Madonna (Jim) Hatfield of Chillicothe, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 20, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Pfeifer- Woodyard Funeral Home, 7915 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Gathering for the service will be on Tuesday, October 21, from 10 am until the time of service, at Logos Bible Church, 623 Hill Road N, Pickerington, Ohio. Service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
