Lorena Mae Barta, wife of Ernest Barta, passed away on September 18th at the age of 98. She is survived by 2 daughters: Bertha and Verna Barta, 3 granddaughters, and 1 great-grandson. She was past president of the Southeast Lions Women's Auxiliary and a Project Chairman with her local Twig Association. Lorena had a great love for her family & friends, playing cards and attending parties. A special thanks goes out to Lorena's neighbors who cared for her like family for many years. In lieu of flowers, please send donation to the Southeast Lions Club. Visitation will be Sunday, September 22, from 2 to 5 p.m. at WOODYARD EAST CHAPEL 2300 E. Livingston Ave. A graveside ceremony will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Lorena's lively spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
