Mabel F. Ward, age 68 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on March 15, 2024. She was born on March 4, 1956 to the late Harold and Annie (Jordan) Shears.

Mabel was a women of God, loved going to King's Island with her family, and going to yard sales with anyone who wanted to tag a long. She could be found arguing with her dog Tank (Who really wasn't hers lol), who she claimed she didn't love, but she did. In her free time she could be found working puzzles, playing on her tablet and watching wrestling or blue bloods with her son and daughter. Mabel never knew a stranger and would give you the shirt off of her back, she would help you any way she could. When she laughed, she would laugh with her eyes, and she had the most contagious smile.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Ward of 39 years; son, John Ward Jr.; three sisters, Dorothy Shears, Linda Vincent, and Lilly Coyle; five brothers, Harold, Larry, Roy, Johnny, and Robert Shears.

She is survived by daughter, Charity Ward; son, Adam (Carrie) Ward; grandchildren, Laura Ward, Kathleen Ward, Adam B. Ward; great-grandchild, Jonathan Barry Jr. (AKA Beanie), and a great grandchild on the way (AKA C.B.), sister, Mary Skiver, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Friends and family may call from 5PM - 8PM on Friday, March 22, 2024, services will follow on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11AM. Interment will follow at Obetz Cemetery. Pastor Henry Ward will be officiating.
