PARSLEY Marcellis Gene Parsley, age 76, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 after a long illness. Born April 16, 1940 in Martin Co. Kentucky, the son of the late Floyd and Elin (Trigg) Parsley of Hode, Ky. He served in the U S Army and was stationed in Germany for 2 yrs. He retired from Buckeye Steel after 37 yrs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Thelma Parsley, Doris Parsley, Ann Dingess and Grace Alley; and brother, Ellis Parsley. He is survived by his wife of 53 yrs., Carmon (Horn) Parsley; 2 sons, Gene Gregory (Sue) Parsley and Christopher (Crissy) Parsley of Columbus; 4 grandchildren, Brooke, Chad, Ryan and Evan Parsley; brother, Floyd (Delores) Parsley of Cynthiana, KY; several nieces and nephews, especially, Michael, Brian, Pam and Kim. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street where the funeral service will be Friday 10 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
