Margaret "Peggy" Zepp Weber October 17, 1935 - January 12, 2021 Margaret "Peggy" Zepp Weber, 85, of Lewis Center, OH, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 after a decade-long battle with Alzheimer's. Peggy was born on October 17, 1935 to Robert and Margaret (Martindill) Brown in Youngstown, OH. After graduating from Boardman High School in 1953, she attended Western College for Women and then transferred to Ohio Wesleyan University (class of 1957) to study elementary education. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and Kappa Delta Pi, honorary sorority. At OWU, she met her husband, Franklin Herman Zepp. They married in 1957. They moved to Cleveland where Peggy became a 2nd grade teacher in East Cleveland at Caledonia School. Later, they moved to Massillon, OH, Frank's hometown. It was there where they began to have a family starting with Scott (who died shortly after birth), Margaret "Meg" Elizabeth Zepp (Fisher), and Robert "Bob" Herman Zepp. A career change for Frank moved them to Worthington, OH where they then had Amy Louise Zepp (Mathews). When Peggy became a mother, she decided to leave teaching and dedicate her life to being a fantastic and loving mom. Tragedy hit soon after when Frank died of cancer at the young age of 41. Peggy was then determined to continue to give her kids everything they needed. Family came first and was above all else. She was the best supporter at all their athletic competitions and encouraged her kids to follow their dreams. As her kids got older, she found herself back in elementary education as a special education teacher assistant in the Worthington City Schools District. She made a difference in the lives of all of her students in her 21 years of service, 1980-2001. Her kindness, patience, and gentleness helped struggling students become successful despite their disabilities. After retirement, she found a new love of working in bridal stores to help brides find just the right dress. As an OWU Alum, she would often be involved in their Monnett Club and decided to assist in her 50th college reunion. It was there that she met Edwin "Ned" Weber. The two were inseparable from that point on. At age 72, these two fell in love for the second time and married soon after on November 10, 2007. Peggy was predeceased by son Scott, husband Frank, and sister Bonnie. She is survived by husband Edwin "Ned" Weber, sister Sally (Harry) Moldovan, children Margaret "Meg" (Scott) Fisher, Robert "Bob" (June) Zepp, Amy (Craig) Mathews, step-children Susanne (Brian) Sleeper, Bryan (Kathy) Weber, and 11 grandchildren- Shayna, Jaden, Drew, Ryan, Hannah, Henley, Jason, Alyson, Adam, Madeline, and Kayleigh. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Peggy will be remembered for her smile, quick wit, and compassion for others. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Peggy's name to the Alzheimer's Association. There will be a celebration of life service at O.R. Woodyard Co. at 1346 South High Street, Columbus, OH 43207 from 12:00-2:00pm, including a service at 1:30pm, on Saturday, January 23, 2021.
