Marie K. Pierce, age 88, passed away peacefully June 6, 2015. Longtime resident of Columbus, she and her husband recently became residents of Westminster-Thurber. Born September 16, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late William and Kathryn Kost. She is preceded in death by brothers, John and Harry Kost. Marie is survived by loving husband of 64 years, James "Jim" Pierce; brother, Dr. Richard (Jean) Kost; sister-in-law, Helen Kost; nephews, David, Daniel, and Daryl Kost; good family friend, Sue Kirby; many other friends. Marie was an active and outgoing person who loved playing tennis and was a longtime member at The Racquet Club of Columbus. She also loved her cats, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Friends may gather Friday, June 12, at O. R. Woodyard Northwest Chapel, 2990 Bethel Rd. from 3 pm until the time of Memorial Service at 5 pm.
