Marion Eugene "Gene" Tolliver Jr., age 75, went to be with Jesus on February 13, 2025. Born April 21, 1949 to the late Marion Eugene Tolliver and Mary Margaret (Boyhan) Tolliver.
He attended and graduated from South High School in 1968; he also attended and graduated from Franklin University where he received his bachelor's degree in 1983; he also attended Ashland University and graduated with his MBA in 1993.
On December 6, 1980, he married Evelyn Bartlett enjoying 44 years of marriage together. He was a member of Reynoldsburg Community Church, Pastor of Pleasant View Global Methodist Church in Newark, a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Reynoldsburg, a member of The Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas, and The Emmaus Community. He served as Pastor for Pleasant View Global Methodist Church for 9 years and a tax advisor for H & R Block for 20 years; Gene was a master of all trades. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and the Army Reserves.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Mary Tolliver; sister, Mary Virginia Hardwick; brother, Paul Tolliver; niece, Mary Lavender.
Gene is survived by his wife of 44 years, Evelyn Tolliver; daughters, Christine (Todd Bauer) Amburgey, Cindy (Dave) Hicks; son, Anthony (Kay) Tolliver; brother, Michael (Bev) Tolliver; grandsons, Alexander (Kaley) Hicks, Jay (Maggie) Amburgey, Daniel Hicks, Stephen Hicks, Luke Hicks, and Tyler Winterrowd; granddaughter, Carylyn Amburgey, and great-granddaughter, Amelia Hicks; and many nieces and nephews; and his 4-legged daughters, Nellie and Sissy.

A Celebration of Life will take place on March 15, 2025 from 1 PM to the time of service at 2 PM, at Reynoldsburg Community Church, 1636 Graham Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
