Mark J. Cullison cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, devoted friend, and gifted artist, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on May 22, 1963, in Columbus, he lived a life rich with music, performance, and love. A graduate of Columbus South High School in 1981. He was proud of his years on the mountain in Tecumseh! and all of the shows he performed at Columbus Junior Theatre and the Little Theatre Off Broadway. Mark has sung, played bass guitar, keyboards, harmonica and percussion for Mighty R and the Velvet Kingsnakes, Gravity Cats, Capital Sound, Eddie Pollina and LAJ all over the state and on a few cruises. Some of his favorite songs to sing were Into the Mystic, Brandy and Mustang Sally, where you couldn't help but dance.

As a talented musician, singer, and actor, Mark had the rare ability to connect with people. Whether on stage, singing, acting or just playing music, his voice and presence brought joy, comfort, and inspiration to all who heard him. His performances were not just entertainment - they were heartfelt expressions of his soul.

He married the love of his life, Rosemary, on March 10, 1996, and together they shared a journey filled with creativity, laughter, and unwavering support for each other's dreams.

Mark is survived by his wife, Rosemary, son, Jonathan Cullison (Winston Stewart), stepdaughter Jessica Jasper (Matt), granddaughter Autymn Jasper, sister, Leanne McClune (Sean), uncle, John Cullison, nephew, Douglas Kyle Persowski, niece, McKenna Barnes (Jacob), three nephews, cousins, sisters and brother-in-law, and nieces and nephews of Rosemary, and his beloved cat, Betty Boo Boo Davis who misses him already. Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, mother, Andrea Schumm, stepfather, Charles Wilder, and sister, Eden (Perkowski) Hubner. Beyond his artistic achievements, Mark will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the way he made everyone feel seen and valued.

Friends may get together and celebrate Mark at O.R. Woodyard Chapel, 1346 S. High Street, Tuesday, August 18th 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, August 19th 10-11 a.m. with the service at 11 a.m. A celebration will be held afterwards at Tio's Diner, 1881 S. High Street, where friends and family will gather to share stories, memories and eat, drink and laugh to celebrate Mark. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Theatre Off Broadway in Grove City, supporting the arts he loved so deeply.
