With heavy hearts and deep love, we share the passing of Mark Edward Walsh, who died at home on May 7, 2025. Though his time with us was shorter than we had hoped, Mark filled his years with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to others. He had a generous heart, a sharp sense of humor, and an unwavering devotion to his family, friends, and faith. He lived fully and left the world better simply by being in it.

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Mark graduated from Bishop Hartley High School in 1979 and went on to have a long and respected career as a Journeyman Electrician and Electrical Contractor. He was a proud union member of IBEW #683 for over 40 years. Honest, hardworking, and reliable, he was known for doing things the right way and for doing them with kindness. Mark built a loyal community of customers over the years, many of whom became lifelong friends. He took pride in being someone people could count on, always showing up with a smile and a solution.

Mark was a man of deep faith and a devout Catholic. He never met a stranger and had an easy, genuine way of connecting with everyone. Whether making someone laugh or lending a hand, he always left an impression of kindness. He loved watching sports (his favorite "reality TV"), going to the horse races, fishing, playing golf, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Edward Walsh; his mother, Mary Ann (Johnson) Walsh; and his sister, Kelli Marie Walsh.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathleen (Casserly) Walsh, and their three children: Danielle (Jesus) Ponce, April (Chris Weyand) Walsh, and Ryan Andrew Walsh. He was a proud and loving "Papaw" to his grandchildren: Wyatt, Idolidia, Vivian, Liam, Thomas, Nolan, and Evelyn. He is also survived by his sister, Amy Galden; his brother, Michael Walsh; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, who were both family and friends; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Mark had a special love for animals—especially those brought home by Kathy—and his second round of children, K.C. Kitty, and their beloved dogs Tess, Lugh, and Anya, who were always by his side or under his feet and will miss him just as much as the rest of the family.

Mark's legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, laughter, and love. He gave generously, loved deeply, and made everyone feel like family.

Visitation and Services:

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home, located at 587 Main Street, Groveport, Ohio 43125.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at The Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, located at 5170 Winchester Southern Road, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. Father Tyler Carter Officiating.

Following Mass, Mark will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery, located at 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137.

Family and friends are welcome to attend all services in celebration of Mark's life.
