Obituary

Martha Valceeda Worrix born April 11th, 1944 to the late Charles and Cleota Cutright in Columbus, Ohio went home to her Heavenly Father on May 25th, 2026. She was a graduate of South High School class of January 1962 and married the love of her life, John D. Worrix, February 2nd of the same year. She was a sales clerk for Lazarus Dept store (now known as Macys), and continued working for the company until her retirement in 2012 after dedicating 35 years of service. Valceeda was a member of Capital City Church, formerly known as Grace Ministries, and proudly served both her church and members. Valceeda and John had a vision come alive in 1975, starting a bus ministry at Reeb Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union, now known as Capital City Church. Valceeda was passionate about her faith, and the relationship she had with her Lord and Savior. She never missed an opportunity to tell anyone about Jesus, inviting them to her church, as she wanted everyone to know God. Over the years, the bus ministry grew, having 5 bus routes throughout the Columbus area. With the help of her team, she would travel her route, knocking on every door inviting children and families to attend services. Today, many of those families and children still attend, and serve our mighty God, because of her unwavering faith and dedication. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Cleota Cutright, husband John D. Worrix Jr, and son in law Bob Davis. She is survived by her son Charles Allen Worrix (Darla), daughter Amy Davis, and son of her heart Martey Shelton.
