Obituary

Mary Pauline Bowling, age 92, of Columbus passed away peacefully at her home December 13, 2024. She was born March 11, 1932 to the late Ellis and Beulah Collier Smith in Load, Kentucky. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bowling and sons, Thomas Richard, Edward, Robert Gerald "Bobby". Siblings Betty, Barbara, and Jerry.

Mary met her husband Roy in Kentucky and they move to Ohio in 1963. They were partners and worked together tirelessly to be providers for their family. She was loved and in her lifetime she helped people from young to old. The entire Bowling family learned their hard work ethic from Mary and Roy's work in several business endeavors. These were businesses like lumber and sawmilling, Greenhouses, Mulch, Christmas trees, Bird Seed, Coal and others. With successes and setbacks as well, Mary was a Christian and a member of The Pentacostal Church of God. She is survived by children, Linda Hansel, Bonnie Morris, Karen (Ellis) Pinkerton, Sharen (Arkey) Dalton, Tammy (Earl) Brinkerhoff, Randy Bowling, Toni (Junior) Riffe. Sister Joan (Frank) Vance. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Services are being planned and will be announced. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 19 from 6pm to 8pm at O. R. Woodyard South Chapel 1346 S. High St. Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 am.
