Mary Gay Hunter, age 65, passed away Tuesday April 8, 2025, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Mary was born on November 18, 1959, to the late Allan Norman and Mary Elizabeth Harris in Martins Ferry, Ohio. As well as her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Jim, Larry, and Allan; and a sister, Linda. Mary is survived by her husband David of 20 years; son, George Harris Jr.; daughter, Cassie Hunter; grandchildren, Cody (Nicky), Hunter, Destiny, and Patrick; great grandchildren, Joseph, and Invidia; sisters, Sandy, and Virginia (Victor); brother, Terry; close friends, Tammy  and Karen. Mary lived life to the fullest, and enjoyed every moment. Mary would light up every room she would walk into. She was a member of the Lady's Auxiliary of the Reynoldsburg VFW Post #9473, and the Ladys Auxiliary of the The American Legion Post #144. Visitation for Mary will be held Friday April 11, 2025, from 4:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm at O.R. Woodyard Co. South High Street Chapel, 1346 S. High St. Columbus, Oh. 43207.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The St. Jude Foundation. Minister Michael Seckman officiating.
