Mary Johnson, age 83, of Columbus, Ohio, entered into the gates of Heaven peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on March 16, 2021 at 6:44 PM. She rejoins her husband of 66 years, Bob; sons Brian, Bobby, and Bruce; brother, Paul; and sisters, Ellen and Bernice. She is survived by her children: Greg (Kelly), Cliff, Lynn, and Paul (Vikki); grandchildren: Nikki (Randy), Brandy, Bridget, Jason, Deanna, Destanie, Amanda, Brianna (Freddy), Matt (Kiana), Chelsea (Donnie), Cody, Jay, Bryan, Michaela (Brian), Hailey, and Robert; and great grandchildren: Myiahna, Aliahna, Reece, Mason, Jordy, Axel, Olivia, Calli, Jaylee, Zoe, Tucker, and Ellie. Mary retired from Technaglass in 1995. She fought a tough battle and proved how strong she truly was in her last few years on Earth. She was the rock of the family and always made sure everyone was okay. Mary loved her children more than anything and becoming a grandma was her lifes calling, she was the best one ever. She would light up when she had visitors and even more if they brought her sweets. They say that there is no love like a mothers love and that showed through with her. Her house was where everyone gathered, from the time they were children all the way until adulthood. You could always count on Mary to be there when you needed her most; this loss will be one of the toughest for the Johnson family. She wore her heart on her sleeve and offered it to those she held dear. Mary was an amazing, strong, and beautiful woman. She will be missed beyond measure and will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM at O.R. Woodyard Co. South Chapel (1346 S. High St. Columbus, OH 43207). Service will be held on Saturday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Chillicothe, OH.
