Mary Linda Paxton, 77 of Parkville, Maryland, passed away on February 9, 2020. She had spent the last two years living in Columbus, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her brother, James Shannon, mother Reay Shannon, father Edward Shannon and cousin, Ruth Ann Bond. Linda was born May 11, 1942, to Reay and Edward Shannon in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Elizabeth Seton High School (an all-girls Catholic school) in Baltimore City. After high school, she married and focused on raising her two boys. Those summers were highlighted to days at the Kiwanis Swim Club and trips to Ocean City. When she returned to the workforce, she worked as an administrative assistant in the medical field. After leaving full-time employment, she cared for her mother until her mother's passing in 2006. Caring for others and sacrificing her needs for the needs of others became a hallmark of her life. Linda is lovingly remembered by son Walter "Marty" Paxton III (wife Kim) of Columbus, Ohio, son Steven Paxton of Baltimore, Maryland, grandsons Eric and Josh Paxton (wife Chelsea) of Columbus, Ohio, sister-in-law Kathleen Shannon of Orlando, Florida, and friend Ed Bond of Forest Hill, Maryland.
