Matthew James Kasper, born September 27, 1966, passed away on September 1, 2026. A proud graduate of Ohio University, Matthew dedicated 30 years of his career to the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department, where he retired after a fulfilling career.

Matthew was a passionate supporter of his favorite teams, the Chicago Bears and Blackhawks, and enthusiastically cheered on his Alma mater, Ohio University.

He is survived by his brothers, Mark (Mirna) and David (Nikki), and his sister, Julie Reischman (Steve), along with many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald W. Kasper and Jean Kimmel, and his sister, Lisa Castle.

A graveside service will be held on November 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
