Melinda (Missy) Ruth Duty, 53, entered the eternal world into the loving arms of the lord on October 24, 2025. Missy was born on July 2, 1972, in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Missy was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture and peace in the promises of eternal life.  Missy shared her faith through kindness, compassion and an unyielding trust in God's plan. Missy was a self-taught Nail tech; everyone admired her work. Missy deeply loved her kids and grandkids. She never missed a sporting event or school concert. She enjoyed concerts, going to the racetrack with her brother, camping and making memories in the Florida sun with her family.

Missy is survived by her beloved children Johnathan (T.J) (Kara) Duty of Plaincity; and Sydney Duty of Columbus. Grandsons, Bentley Duty, Cameron Duty and Kendrick (K.J) Duty; granddaughters, Amelia (Sissy) Duty and Baby Girl Duty. Brother; Eric Bowman, Sisters; Shari (Clinton) Tackett, Debbie Coleman. Bonus children: Kayla Castle, Alexis Castle, Megan Abram, Kaylin Duty and Corey (Cherish) Stevens. Beloved pets Cali (Cal-dog) and Pete; Special family and friends; Joseph (Josie) Coleman; Jamie and Josh Coleman; Haylee Brownfield; Shawn (Mindy) Coleman; Oliver Rigsby; Taylor Coleman; Jennifer Bowman; Jami VanDeWater; Uhel Spann; Nikolas Seman; Brooke Spann; Tyree Spann; Lexie Spann.

Missy is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Dorothy Bowman.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory on Wednesday November 5, 2025 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Leave a Mark Church, 4818 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43207.
