Merlin "Mike" Hamler, age 70, went Home on August 23, 2017. He was born on January 14, 1947 to the late Tubby and Dorothy Hamler of Groveport. Mike loved golfing and all his golf buddies. He was blessed to be active in the Emmaus Community and the Kairos Prison Ministry. Mike loved his Groveport Madison Class of 1965 and his beloved church family at Groveport UMC. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lana Hollinger. Mike is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Margie; son, Michael (Christy Beeghly); daughter, Karen (Pug) Sanchez; granddaughters, Lindsey, Leah, and Lyndsay; grandsons, Trevor, Davin, and Adam; great grandson, Talan; brother, Craig; sisters, Rosi (Danny) Hendry and Mona (Eddie) Rogers; many nieces, nephews, dear friends and loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 pm with a Gathering of Loved Ones starting at 4 pm on Saturday, August 26 at Groveport United Methodist Church, 512 Main Street.
