Michael C. Garish, age 65, lifelong resident of Columbus, OH, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He was known as the "Knife Man." He had his own cutlery business for over 30 years and delivered knives to many restaurants around Central and Southern Ohio, as well as West Virginia. We will always remember him for his loving heart and very outgoing personality. He could always start a conversation with anyone. As a die hard Buckeye fan, nothing was more fun to him than watching the game on a Saturday with his friends and family. Michael is preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Kelley; parents, Charles and Norma Jean Garish; brother, Tom Garish. Michael leaves behind his loving wife, Connie Garish, whom he adored; son, Christopher Folden; grandchildren, Madison, Reese, and Sydney; sisters, Terri P. Garish, Karen (Mark) Scott, and Tricia (Tim) Timlin; brother, Jim (Laura) Garish; sister-in-law, Connie Garish; numerous nieces and nephews that he loved as his own children, and many special friends whom he considered family. Friends may call Monday, January 11, 2021, from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH, 43207. Pastor Shane Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH. Facemasks are required for all that attend services.
