Michael S. Kinney Sr., age 67, of Lockbourne, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014. Born in Columbus on October 14, 1947 to the late Flora (Reynolds) Sammet. He attended South High School and graduated from Franklin Heights High School in 1965. At age 17 he joined the U.S. Marine Corp where he served in Vietnam. Mike, known to many as "Big-Un" enjoyed golfing, bowling and karaoke. An avid bowler, Mike won many awards and trophy's including bowling a perfect score of 300 more than once. Spent most of his working career was as a lumber salesman. Preceded in death by granddaughter Alexandria. He is survived by his loving wife of over 47 years, Joyce (Garrett) Kinney; daughter, Gina (Eric) Owens of Ashville, OH; son, Michael S. Kinney, Jr. of Columbus; grandsons, Craig, Isaac, Cameron and Garrett; great-grandsons, Hunter and Jase; sister, Judy Sturak; close cousin, Ronnie Beck; beloved dog, Sunny; and many other relatives and friends. Friends may gather at O. R. WOODYARD CO SOUTH CHAPEL 1346 S. High St., on Saturday, November 8 from 1-3 p.m. with memorial service at 3 p.m. Pastor Corby Blanton officiating.
