Michael L. Smith, known to many as Mike, passed away on November 3, 2026. Born on September 3, 1954, Mike was a loving and devoted husband, father and paps. He lived a life filled with passion and cherished moments. Mike enjoyed driving and was an interstate truck driver during the latter part of his career.

He dearly loved his Lord and Savior. He ministered at local nursing homes and care facilities in his younger years along side his father in law.

Mike found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially when shared with his loved ones. He had a deep affection for camping and horseback riding, creating lasting memories with his family and club friends. In recent times, Mike also discovered a talent for culinary arts, becoming an award-winning chili cook-off contestant, a testament to his competitive spirit and perhaps his secret family recipes.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Teresa. He also leaves behind his daughters, Ashley (Jason) Ross and Amanda (Eric) Bell, and his son, Bryce Smith. Mike was a proud grandfather to Avery and Addison. Brother, Rick (Rita) Smith nephew, Solomom (Elizabeth) Smith; niece, Nadia Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Beverly Smith, and his son, Brennon Michael Smith.

He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Until we meet again!

A visitation will be held on November 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 587 Main Street, Groveport, Ohio 43125. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the same location. Graveside service to follow at Franklin Hills Memorial Gardens, 5802 Elder Road, Canal Winchester, 43110.
