Nell "Louise" Day, age 66, passed away on November 15, 2017. Born on September 22, 1951 in Gallipolis, Ohio to James and Ruth (Camden) Franklin. Graduate of Kyger Creek High School Class of 1969. Louise was an LPN and RN at Gallipolis Developmental Center and later at Columbus Developmental Center. Longtime and active member of Lockbourne Freewill Baptist Church. Two things Louise valued in her life was education and sharing the word of the gospel. She is preceded in death by father, James E. Franklin; son, Joseph T. Day; beloved husband, Buddy Day. Louise is survived by daughter, Kara Day, stepchildren, Alice Day, James Day, Larry (Doris) Day, Ricky (Linda) Day, Billy Day (Pam), Anna Day, and Sandy Meadows; mother, Ruth Phillips, sisters, Cindy Sexton, Paula Schaffner, Wilma Murphy, and Kim Ward; brother, Randy Gunnell; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, November 20, 2017, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at O. R. Woodyard South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Leon Stevens officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to The Gideon Bible Ministry.
