Norman Eaton, age 81, made his final journey home to be with the Lord and his loving wife on July 12, 2024. Born on January 25, 1943 in Wheelersburg, OH to the late Earl and Lottie "Marie" Eaton. He was a dedicated member of the Columbus First Christian Baptist Church, where he earned the nickname "Candyman" as a beloved Sunday School Superintendent for over 50 years. One of his favorite pastimes was making sure the neighborhood birds were always taken care of with daily seed and bread feedings.  He worked many years at Lennox Industries before ending his career at OASIS International. Norman is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Eaton; siblings, Carl and Patty. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Kevin Thompson; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Amy Eaton; grandchildren, Joey (Kelly) Thompson, Matthew (Lindsay) Thompson, Alex (Chelsea Iacoboni) Eaton, Jacob Faught, Abby Eaton, Amelia (Jacob Davis) Eaton, and Natalie Faught; 3 great grandchildren; numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the First Christian Baptist Church, 4185 Parsons Ave, Columbus, OH 43207. Pastor Jeremy Kamer, officiating. Burial will take place in the Obetz Cemetery.
